Kushite Guardians

Rise of the Keeper’s Light

The first strike against oblivion begins in the cradle of the ancient world.

In the thriving spiritual center of Kerma, an unnatural cold is creeping across the sands. The Devouring Shadow—a sentient, cosmic void—has breached the boundaries of reality. It does not seek to conquer the Kingdom of Kush; it seeks to unweave it from existence entirely. When history itself is on the menu, swords and shields are useless.

To save his people, King Taharqa must awaken a dormant, elemental defense. Binding his elite Sentinels by blood and ancient oath, they must harness the power of Ka’Numa—the Keeper's Light. But wielding the divine flame comes at a staggering personal cost, forcing the guardians to decide how much of their own humanity they are willing to burn away to keep the shadows at bay.

Artifacts & Lore

The Western Deffufa
More than just a towering mud-brick temple in the heart of Kerma, the Deffufa acts as an ancient, spiritual battery. It is here that the Kushite Guardians first learn to speak with the stars and awaken the latent energies of the earth.

Ka’Numa (The Keeper's Light)
It is not a weapon you hold; it is a weapon you become. The Keeper's Light is the only known force capable of searing the Devouring Shadow, acting as a mystical anchor that binds memory and history to the physical plane.

"You cannot stab the dark. You cannot negotiate with a void. You can only become the fire, and pray you do not reduce yourself to ash in the process."
