The Nok Revolution
Vanishing of a Civilization
They did not fall to ruin. They chose to disappear.
Deep in the fertile river valleys and forested plateaus, the Nok have mastered fire, iron, and clay like no civilization on earth. While Kush and Aksum battle the Devouring Shadow in the open, the artisans and scientists of Nok realize a terrifying truth: the Shadow is drawn to the noise of empire. The brighter a civilization shines, the faster it is consumed.
Rather than wait for oblivion, the Nok ignite a radical, unthinkable revolution. Combining advanced metallurgical alchemy with sacred terracotta rituals, they devise a way to seal their histories, their knowledge, and their very identities inside indestructible clay vessels—and then erase themselves from the surface of the world. But vanishing has its own dark calculus, and those left behind must guard an empty stage.
