The Obsidian Heart Chronicles: Genesis
A Crack in the Foundation of Faith
In the silence of the stars, treason takes root in the shadows.
In 7000 BCE, the Magaalo of Lámúrú is a marvel of prosperity, a verdant basin guided by the silent wisdom of the stars. At its heart lies the Calendar Circle, where the Ténzúri (Children of the Sky Flame) interpret the celestial tapestry to ensure the survival of their people. But a recent season of uneasy skies and near-failed rains has left a faint bruise on the civilization's faith. It is a small crack in a great foundation—and into such cracks, poison can seep.
As the Supreme Astral Custodian seeks to re-establish the harmony of the night, a discordant energy emerges from within her own ranks. Driven by wounded pride and cold strategy, a faction forms with a dangerous new philosophy: if the stars can be doubted, then those who read them can be replaced. In Lámúrú, the greatest threat comes not from a devouring cosmic void, but from the dark ambitions of the human heart.
