The Obsidian Heart Chronicles: Revelation

The Weight of Prosperity

A civilization reborn must now fight to keep its light.

Fifty years have passed since the Great Catastrophe drove the people of Yám from their island home. What began as a pilgrimage of endurance has transformed into a stunning rebirth. In a fertile savanna, they have built Yám-Khétúm—a futuristic Magaalo crafted from sleek Kúmbalé stone and powered by their rediscovered mastery over the mysterious red stones. Under the philosophy of Khétúm (Perseverance), their scientific genius has returned in full force.

But the world has not stood still. Neighboring kingdoms watch Yám-Khétúm's radiant prosperity with envious eyes, their scouts testing the borders and shifting old alliances. As the threat of war creeps closer, the leaders of Yám must face an uncomfortable truth: their unmatched technological brilliance is coveted by enemies without, while the bitter scars of the Great Catastrophe threaten to spawn a new enemy from within.

Dramatis Personae

Ashri

Premier of Yám-Khétúm

Once a distinguished scientist, Ashri now leads with a quiet strength that steadies the nation. Her dark brown eyes hold the memory of every sacrifice it took to rebuild their world. Her constant, crushing burden is to maintain peace while urgently preparing for a war that seems inevitable.

Tamaya

Head of the Legislative Assembly

Driven by conviction and an intense, unwavering pride for her people, Tamaya is the political anchor of the Magaalo. She is the first to see the writing on the wall: the northern kingdoms do not just want to trade with Yám-Khétúm—they want to exploit it.

Nabra

Commander of Perimeter Defense

A warrior forged through relentless discipline, Nabra's mind is a weapon of strategy and her will is unbreakable. When she enters a room, the atmosphere shifts. She is the first to confirm that the northern borders are not merely being scouted—they are being tested for weaknesses.

Artifacts & Lore

Kúmbalé
A masterfully engineered building material created after decades of experimentation. Smooth as polished stone, durable enough to withstand fire and weathering, and reflective enough to catch the evening sun like warm gold. It allowed Yám-Khétúm to rise from the savanna like an improbable dream.

Mastery of the Red Stones
The scientific community of Yám finally cracked the mystery of the red stones once buried in their original island. By stabilizing and safely redirecting their energy, they now use the stones to power homes, laboratories, and the devastating special alloy swords carried by their elite soldiers.

"Not scouts. Not wanderers. These groups are testing our defenses. They know exactly where to press."
