The Rise of Unity

Greed and Glory

A story of the devastating price of tyranny and the fragile, necessary price of peace.

The Ishango Confederation believed their political acumen and cautious neutrality could shield them from the ancient rivalries of the region. But parallel threats have risen to shatter that peace. Led by the reckless Múgwé Nthanda, the Kásu-Furá have built a ravenous industrial empire on stolen Yámmite technology. Meanwhile, the Bachwezi Dynasty, ruled by the insidious Wapiganaji, views treachery and slaughtered villages as mere diplomatic messages.

When the balance of power finally fractures, the Ishango are forced to abandon their neutrality and take up the mantle of war. This is the account of how survival is won not just on the battlefield with Zûn’Khámu-enhanced weapons, but in the war room through Hesabu ya Uaminifu: the calculus of trust. It is the grim reality of how a necessary evil can defeat a greater evil, leaving the victors to build a lasting peace on a foundation of betrayal, vigilance, and the loss of their own innocence.

Dramatis Personae

Ishánga-Túmbe

Kham Khurûn of the Ishango

Niece to the Sovereign, Ishánga-Túmbe is a formidable presence clad in deep purple armor. With her jet-black dreadlocks bound upward and an unbreakable khopesh strapped across her back, she does not sit at the council tables—she watches. As the Confederation abandons peace, she stands as the unyielding physical enforcer of their collective will.

Wapiganaji

Ruler of the Bachwezi Dynasty

Ambitious, insidious, and viewing himself as chosen by destiny. Wearing a shimmering Zûn’Khámu chestplate, Wapiganaji prefers the cold art of treachery to open warfare. He will happily order his magnificent cavalry to slaughter an undefended village just to send a political message to his supposed allies.

Nyám

Voice of Sober Truth

Once a Yámmite soldier, Nyám now stands as a living reminder that peace with a former enemy is possible, but incredibly fragile. Standing before the frantic, fledgling democracy of his homeland, he delivers the chilling reality: Múgwé Nthanda’s accelerating industrial production is not posturing—it is preparation for total conquest.

Artifacts & Lore

Stolen Zûn’Khámu Weaponry
The rhythmic clang of hammers and the whine of energy conduits define the Kásu-Furá industrial centers. In just seven years, Múgwé Nthanda reverse-engineered stolen Yámmite technology into sleek projectile weapons and reinforced personal armor, turning a subjugated people into a terrifying military machine.

Hesabu ya Uaminifu (The Calculus of Trust)
The grim political and diplomatic math required to win a war where allies are often as dangerous as the enemy. It is the realization that survival requires navigating calculated betrayal, and that the true cost of victory is the permanent loss of a nation's innocence.

"Look at this glory. Look at this power. This is not borrowed. It is not given. We took it. We mastered it. We will not be subject to the Ishango’s fractured idealism or the Yámmite’s cautious neutrality. We will forge our own destiny."
— MÚGWÉ NTHANDA
